Today social networks are the largest communication network in the world, which means that it allows everyone to keep up with the events of the planet, likewise the most influential people on these platforms have the power to create movements that may or may not favoring certain things, a campaign called TeamTrees has recently emerged, which consists of planting 20 million trees around the planet. But this is not so simple, the campaign is sustained because a dollar means a tree, with the aim of collecting 20 million dollars and in turn using them to continue with the reforestation of the planet, the campaign is being promoted by the biggest influencers of the planet, attracting celebrities from music, movies, businessmen, and the most recent Elon Musk, a Tesla owner engineer. I support this cause as it focuses on the health of all living beings and which instructs people how to plant and care for a tree and in turn the planet.
Nowadays, the increasing problem of the cutting of trees Bogotá is something for taking care. Every day trees are cut for "esthetic" reasons and changed for artificial grass. This is a problem because we are trying to substitute natural and beneficial things for just a piece of artificial grass that won't apport something to our lives. This is why I would like to defend the trees in Bogotá, we have to preserve our trees to assure a clean environment for the next generations. For this, I would like to propose a campaign for planting trees in different zones of the city to try to recover some of the trees who were chopped for the town hall. We could try first to start in some little zones and then start expanding to bigger zones and finally recover the natural life in this city. David Felipe Martínez Hernández
Although defending a cause is a full-time job as well as complicated, I would defend students. Why students?, because we are the ones who are going to change the world, because with the passing of the time, the society knows that with education and culture the world must change, poverty would dissapear, and the world could be more safer, why not defend that cause? For achive that dream, I must have to create a budget that cover all the expenses of the cause and afford the activityes we are going to do, so I would have to take a loan of a bank. Second step, is...stop to jibber jabber and start doing things, so, when I have the resourses, I will start the protests, with no violence and having a security team that will cover that other´s that aren´t of the students groups start doing vandalism acts or making riots on the streets. And, finilly reach many people with protests, so that a student movement is created around the world for governments to invert in education, not in war. Concluding, education is the better way to combat the ignorance, and combating the ignorance it´s the best way for changing the world.
Actually in Colombia authorizes shark hunting and commercialization of its flipper, the person who did this was the Goverment. I wnat to defend this cause because sharks are kill daily whe thing that they are dangerous but they aren’t. They attack us because we invade their habitat and they feel threathened. People just look for the Flipper because it is more expensive than the complete body.The Flipper used to be commercialized illegaly now that the goverment declarate that the haunting was legal more sharks are killed daily. I want to defend this cause because the sharks give equilibrium in the food chain because they are predators and if the extinct there would be a overpopulation of maritime species, if this happens the contamination would be worst because sharks help cleaning the ocean. In conclusión we need to help avoiding supporting campaigns that are in favor of this problematics.
Currently, there is a problem that is gradually ending the world and is deforestation. I would love to defend this problem and increase afforestation, creating people's awareness that, by ourselves, now there are almost no trees and, therefore, in large part we will be affected, for example; more respiratory problems will be generated in the population, because there will be nothing that naturally purifies the air, the wood won’t able to be used, some animals won’t be able to live there, the oxygen needed to breathe would not be produced if people continue to cut trees without stopping. I would love to buy tree seeds and place myself in an empty place to be able to plant them and say that without them it would be difficult for us to adapt to a normal life and that it is better to have good health than to have pockets full of money spent on these deforestation processes. Since I was a child I knew that I was going to study something relationed with biology and the enviroment, so the cause that I defend is the one that look for help the planet, like Ecosia, is like a Google but the differencce is that this donates approximately 80% of the income it receives to different non-profit organizations around the world related to tree planting.Like we all know the trees are so important not just for make chairs or pencils, also because we need the trees to survive, we inhale oxygen and exhale carbon dioxide and the trees inhale carbon dioxide and exhale oxygen they have to be extremely important for us.
The cause that i defend is No more trash in the streets. Why? Every day i see the people throw differents objects in the streets that is bad for the environment, but people don´t understand that if we don´t take care the environment, we would not have where to live. Nowadays, i see that mayor´s put trash can in all places to promote throw trash in it and to identify where we going to throw the trash, for example: plastic, food, recycle and not recycle. For me is so important to take care the environment!
In the world we found a lot of causes to defend but in this case I want to defend the erradication of the platic and the garbage deposital. Garbage cause big problems.
Landfills are huge garbages dumps that take a lot of earth's land. Some of the materials take hundreds or thousands of years in descompose and break down these. Also come objects like plastic never completely of descompose and contain toxic compunds,these poisonous and chemicals materials can leak into the land and pollute the soil and the groundwater at the same time.The landfills are a problem because when material like food, tree branches and plants are covered up with these poisonous and chemicals materials, produce methane gas that is 21 times more heat in the atmosphere than carbon dioxide.
The garbage are in the ocean,too.A small portion of earth´s garbage float in the top of the ocean, about 5.25 trillion pieces of garbage patches are sink in the deep ocean. Plastic in the ocean is extremely dangerous for animals that live there, the animals confuse the particles of plastic and take it for food.
The marine life have being destroying due to precence of plastics in the sea.The atmosphere is polluted with this toxic gas(methano) and the goundwater that is important for life and is use for all is also contaminate with poisionous wastes.
I would defend causes that promove the common good.This type of proyects involve everyone. They make the social development faster, promove critical thinking and make peopole awere about nowdays problems.The problmes that I think that need to be defendended and reported are releated whith the environmental situation as the plastics uses,recycling, pollution or resources utilization. Defend this type of causes or others is important to make a real social transformation. You do not need a big organization, just with your daily actions you contribute to this proyects.
